1. Overview of the Platform

These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a legally binding agreement between you and METI LLC (შპს მეტი) ("METI," "we," "us," or "our") governing your access to and use of the METI Rider App, the METI Driver App, the website at meti.taxi, and related services (collectively, the "Platform").

METI is a technology platform that enables riders to connect with independent drivers who provide transportation services. Unless expressly stated otherwise, METI is not the transportation provider. Drivers are independent service providers and are not METI's employees, agents, or representatives.

2. Eligibility and accounts

  • You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a binding agreement to use the Platform.
  • You must provide accurate, current, and complete registration information and keep it updated.
  • You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account.
  • METI may require phone verification, OTP verification, identity verification, document review, payment-method verification, or other checks before activating or continuing an account.
  • Driver accounts are subject to additional eligibility rules, including valid driving credentials, valid vehicle documentation, legally required insurance, and compliance with applicable transportation laws and Platform standards.

3. How the Platform works

Riders may request trips through the Platform. The Platform may display an estimated fare, assign or offer the request to nearby drivers, provide trip progress information, and facilitate payment and support flows.

Driver access to the Platform may depend on an active subscription or other commercial terms disclosed in the Driver App or related policies.

Estimated fares, ETAs, and driver availability are informational and may change because of traffic, route variation, market conditions, rider conduct, driver availability, technical issues, or safety considerations.

4. Payments, pricing, and subscription terms

Driver subscription model

Drivers pay a flat weekly subscription fee instead of a per-trip commission. METI does not take a percentage of any individual ride.

Riders may pay for trips using payment methods made available in the Platform, which may include card and cash depending on availability in a given city or flow.

Drivers may be charged subscription fees or other fees disclosed before purchase. By subscribing, the driver authorizes recurring charges using the selected payment method until cancellation.

Unless otherwise required by law or expressly stated in a promotional offer, subscription fees and completed trip charges are non-refundable.

METI and its payment or banking partners may suspend or reject payments, payouts, refunds, or account activity where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, compliance, chargeback handling, payment reconciliation, or risk review.

Taxes, bank fees, foreign-exchange fees, telecom fees, and other third-party charges may apply depending on the transaction.

5. Cancellations, waiting time, no-shows, and adjustments

Riders and drivers may cancel trips subject to Platform rules disclosed at the time of booking or in-app.

METI may apply cancellation fees, waiting-time charges, or no-show rules where disclosed to the user before or during the trip flow.

Fare adjustments may occur where the actual route, trip duration, tolls, stopovers, waiting time, ride type, or other trip details differ materially from the estimate.

6. Driver obligations

  • Drivers must provide safe, lawful, professional, and courteous service.
  • Drivers must maintain a clean and roadworthy vehicle, hold all legally required documents, and comply with all applicable traffic, transportation, tax, and insurance laws.
  • Drivers must not engage in GPS spoofing, fake rides, collusion, account sharing, misuse of surge or incentives, unsafe driving, harassment, discrimination, or other abusive or fraudulent conduct.
  • Drivers are solely responsible for their own taxes, insurance, fuel, maintenance, equipment, labor obligations, and legal compliance.

7. Rider obligations

  • Riders must provide accurate trip information, behave respectfully, follow applicable laws, and avoid conduct that threatens safety or damages property.
  • Riders may not use the Platform to transport illegal items, dangerous materials, or anything prohibited by law or by Platform safety rules.
  • Riders are responsible for payment of valid trip charges, fees, tolls, damage claims, cleaning fees, and other amounts properly assessed under these Terms or in-app disclosures.

8. Ratings, safety, and support

METI may provide ratings, reviews, reporting, support, and safety tools. Users must use those tools honestly and may not manipulate ratings or submit knowingly false reports.

METI may investigate complaints, safety concerns, or misuse, and may take action including warnings, temporary holds, limited feature access, payout delays, account suspension, or permanent removal.

9. Location services and permissions

Precise location access is necessary for important Platform features such as trip matching, ETA calculation, route verification, safety tools, and trip tracking.

If you deny required permissions, some or all Platform features may not function properly. More detail about location processing is set out in the Privacy Policy.

10. Prohibited conduct

  • You may not use the Platform unlawfully or in a way that interferes with the Platform, METI's operations, other users, or third parties.
  • You may not reverse engineer, scrape, decompile, copy, resell, or create unauthorized derivative works of the Platform except as permitted by applicable law.
  • You may not impersonate another person, submit false information, bypass security controls, abuse promotions, tamper with payments, or access the Platform through unauthorized automation.

11. Suspension, termination, and account deletion

METI may suspend, restrict, or terminate access to the Platform at any time if we reasonably believe you violated these Terms, created legal or safety risk, failed verification, failed to pay amounts due, engaged in fraud or abuse, or otherwise jeopardized the Platform or other users.

You may stop using the Platform at any time. If account deletion is available for your account type, you may request deletion through the in-app path, website deletion page, or support channels described in the Privacy Policy.

Suspension or termination does not automatically eliminate payment obligations, completed-trip charges, outstanding fees, chargeback liabilities, investigation holds, or legally required record retention.

12. Third-party services

The Platform may rely on third-party products and services, including banks, payment processors, maps, routing, SMS, cloud hosting, identity tools, and notification services. METI is not responsible for the acts or omissions of independent third parties, except as required by law.

13. Intellectual property and license

The Platform, including software, branding, interfaces, text, graphics, trademarks, and related content, is owned by METI or its licensors and is protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms, METI grants you a limited, revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Platform for its intended purpose. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sublicense, sell, or exploit the Platform except as expressly permitted.

14. Disclaimers

The Platform is provided on an 'as is' and 'as available' basis to the maximum extent permitted by law.

METI does not guarantee that the Platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or available at any particular time or place.

METI does not guarantee driver availability, rider demand, trip completion, payment success, specific earnings, or specific business results.

15. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, METI will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for loss of profits, business, goodwill, data, or opportunities arising from or related to the Platform or these Terms.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, METI's aggregate liability for claims arising out of or relating to the Platform or these Terms will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid directly to METI during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) GEL 500.

16. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless METI, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, and agents from claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or related to your misuse of the Platform, your violation of these Terms, your violation of law, or your interaction with riders, drivers, or third parties.

17. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of Georgia, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.

Before filing a formal claim, you agree to attempt informal resolution by contacting apps@meti.taxi and providing a reasonable description of the issue.

Unless applicable law requires otherwise, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Platform will be resolved by the competent courts of Tbilisi, Georgia.

18. Changes to the Platform or Terms

METI may update the Platform, pricing, policies, subscription structure, service areas, features, or these Terms from time to time.

If a change is material, METI may provide notice through the app, email, website, or other reasonable means. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of an updated version constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

19. Miscellaneous

If any provision of these Terms is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions will remain in effect.

METI's failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of its right to do so later.

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any supplemental policies expressly incorporated by reference, constitute the entire agreement between you and METI regarding the Platform.
